I did not believe it at first, but then I heard that some of my own cousins have not seen it! So if you tell them, "I caught you a delicious bass," they would not know what you are talking about. If you are one of the sad and horrible people who have not seen it yet, Napoleon Dynamite is one of the most brilliant comedies of recent years. It it truly and refreshingly original. And in a summer where the top "new" movies are all remakes of old movies or remakes of old tv shows, you could use some originality. Napoleon is a loser who draws fantasy creatures and goes to high school in Idaho. His best friend is a new kid in school, Pedro. Pedro decides to run for class president. See, now you understand all the "Vote For Pedro" t-shirts. Anyway, I can't give away the plot cause there really isn't one. But don't let that fool you. It's still brilliant and engaging. So if you haven't seen it, go and rent it now. Or just buy it. You're gonna want your own DVD anyway so you can watch the deleted scenes and commentary and stuff. |
